    Call for Scientific Evaluators for Benchmarking Nano-Science/Nano-Technology Research Organisations

    Call for a Team Leader - S&T Policy Mix Peer Review in Kazakhstan

    The INCO-NET-EECA project is supporting a S&T Policy Mix Peer Review to Kazakhstan. The international peers are experts from the S&T governance sector of different EU and Eastern European countries. They should be lead by an experienced Team Leader (S&T policy analyst).     4th Policy Stakeholders' Conference: "EU-EECA Cooperation in Research and Innovation: The way towards 2020"

    Within the framework of the Polish Presidency of the EU, the 4th Policy Stakeholders’ Conference on was held in Warsaw on 15-16 November 2011. About 90 stakeholders from 28 countries, from ministries, research organisations, universities, the private sector and from civil society participated. Previous EU-EECA Policy Stakeholders' Conferences had already taken place in Athens (2009), Moscow (2010) and Astana (May 2011). Conclusions now available!

    EECA Session at BIOTECHNICA 2011

    8 experts from Eastern Europe and Central Asia presented the chances and challenges for bi-regional biotechnology cooperation at BIOTECHNICA 2011 in Hanover, Germany.     Last General Assembly of the IncoNet EECA project

    General Assemblies of the InoNets EECA and CA/SC will be held from 5th to 7th October 2011 in Bucharest, Romania, organised by NSPSPA. For the IncoNet EECA project it will be the last one before the end of the project in June 2012. During this General Assembly decisions need to be made on the possibility of organising pilot Policy Mix review(s), and/or a Benchmarking exercise. There is also a need to talk about the preparation of the Policy Stakeholders' Conference (PSC) in Warsaw and the PSC in Kiev the first half of 2012, and possibly the event in the European Parliament.

    The event took place in Moscow on May 23-24 and aimed to promote recent international experiences in R&D and Innovation Statistics – with a special emphasis on Eastern European and Central Asian Area.     S&T International Cooperation Network for Central Asian and South Caucasus Countries: IncoNet CA/SC successfully launched

    IncoNet CA/SC, an EU project with Central Asian and South Caucasus Countries was officially launched during a kick-off meeting in Istanbul/ Turkey on 29th-30th April 2010. The project is coordinated by the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS, Greece) and funded under the 7th Research Framework Programme of the European Community. 28 partner organisations from 14 countries take part in the project. It is being implemented in close coordination with the ongoing IncoNet EECA.

    Conclusions of 1st Policy Stakeholders Conference - 2nd event to be held in Moscow, April 2010

    The conclusions of the 1st Policy Stakeholders Confrence organized by the IncoNet EECA project in Athens in June 2009 are now being presented in a new brochure. The conference brought together policy makers to discuss the current state and future challenges for the S&T Cooperation between the EU and EECA countries. The success of this first event will be continued by a similar conference in Moscow in April 2010.

    General Assembly Meeting of the IncoNet EECA project

    The 2009 General Assembly Meeting of the IncoNet EECA was held in Moscow, on 26-27 November and hosted by the State University - Higher School of Economics (HSE). Work Package Leaders informed the consortium about the current activities of the project. The meeting was also used for some organsiational adjustments and to discuss upcoming activities in detail.     The web portal “incrEAST“ (www.incrEAST.eu) has been online for a year now. It is designed to help link the research structures of the EU, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The website contributes to improving mutual knowledge about national research landscapes and strengthening international cooperation. incrEAST updates its information and structure regularly to become even more detailed and user-friendly.
