The Research Potential of the BSEC countries (BS-ResPot) is a project coordinated by the ICBSS and funded by the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Commission. BS-ResPot covers the twelve countries that form the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), namely the Republic of Albania, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Hellenic Republic, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia*, Republic of Turkey and Ukraine. The aim of BS-ResPot has been to transform the political will for cooperation into concrete actions.

NET4SOCIETY is a networking project of National Contact Points (NCPs) for Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) with the primary goal to promote transnational cooperation by means of a structured and user-friendly network. In the course of the 3 years project duration, the declared mission of NET4SOCIETY will be to ensure that all SSH NCPs have full and easy access to all tools of their trade, e.g. all relevant information from all relevant sources, trainings, workshops, good practices, etc., giving all SSH NCPs the opportunity to be part of a learning network.

RegionERA (Regional network for support of scientific and technological co-operation between European union and Russian regions) is a FP6 project under Specific Support Actions. It lasts form 2006 to 2008. The overall objective of the project is to reinforce S/T co-operation between Russia and EU through opening up scientific potential of Russian regions to ERA, to promote and develop stabilisation of scientific potential of Russian regions and its integration into ERA.

The project “Scenarios for a coordinated approach to sustainable S/T co-operation with the Eastern Neighbours of the EU (SCOPE-EAST)” intends to take sustainable steps in view of an enhanced coordination of the R&D cooperation of interested EU-Member States and Associated Candidate States with Russia and Eastern Europe. SCOPE-EAST will address the question of how to achieve optimum coherence between national cooperation strategies and the EU R&D cooperation strategy and of how cooperation in R&D can contribute to other policies of the EU such as the European Neighbourhood policy. Target countries of SCOPE-EAST are in the first step Russia and Ukraine.

The proposed project TECHBRID is aimed at creating prerequisites and technical mechanisms for automated data exchange between existing European online infrastructures and the Russian online infrastructure under development, which should result in stronger integration of Russian and European innovation information resources and better interactions between EU and Russia actors in innovation sphere.
