General Assembly Meeting of the IncoNet EECA project

The Meeting of the General Assembly of the IncoNet EECA was held in Vienna, on 12-13 February 2009 and hosted by the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI). During the meeting, the consortium was informed by the Work Package Leaders on the activities that were carried out during the first year of implementation of the project. At the same time, detailed planning for the second year was made.

Summary

The 2nd General Assembly Meeting of the IncoNet EECA project was organized by the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) at the premises of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) in Vienna. Representatives of all  institutions in the IncoNet EECA consortium attended the meeting, chaired by George Bonas in his capacity as IncoNet EECA project coordinator.
Opening addresses were made by George Bonas (S&T Advisor ICBSS, Coordinator IncoNet EECA), Sabine Herlitschka (Director, Division of European and International Programmes at FFG), Yves Maisonny (Scientific Officer of the European Commission ), and Klaus Schuch (Executive Manager at ZSI).

During the working sessions of the meeting an in-depth analysis on the current status-quo within each work package was done. The consortium agreed on a couple of measures to improve the performance within the consortium. In 2009 a number of workshops, brokerage and training events will be organized. All events will be announced on the Project Website as well as the EU-EECA Webportal (www.increast.eu).

Finally, the Coordinator expressed on behalf of all the participants his sincere thanks to the colleagues from ZSI and FFG for the efficient and friendly organization of the meeting and for their hospitality in Vienna.
