    A call in KBBE targeting Black Sea countries

    Proposals for the call in the field "Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and Biotechnology" (FP7-KBBE-2010-4) are now invited by the European Commission. Call deadline is the 14th January 2010 at 17:00:00 (Brussels local time). Budgets and further Restrictions to Participation are given in the call texts, which are published on the CORDIS website.

    Marie Curie Actions ITN Scheme – Initial Training Networks, People Newsletter (No.9 in 2009)

    On September 8th 2009 the European Commission launched a call for proposals under the FP7 Marie Curie Ac-tions ITN Scheme – Initial Training Networks. The scheme will be implemented by supporting competitively selected networks of organisations from different countries engaged in research training to improve career perspectives of early-stage researchers in both public and private sectors, thereby making research careers more attractive to young people.

    Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates (EMJD), People Newsletter (No.8 in 2009)

    The following information is about the Action 1 - Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates (EMJD). Erasmus Mundus programme itself is initiated by the European Commission within the field of higher education. Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates form a new element within Erasmus Mundus. These doctoral-level training and research programmes will offer fellowships covering up to three years of doctoral activities. Applicant doctoral candidates should contact the consortium offering the EMJD for more information on courses and application procedures.

    GLOBAL ISSUES

    Three cooperating INCO-NETs, WBC-INCO.NET, SEA-EU-NET and IncoNet EECA will contribute to the development of a common database on relevant national and international science policies and programmes tackling global issues such as climate change. The topic of research dealing with the topics of climate mitigation and adaptation has been chosen initially, further "global issues" will follow depending on the success of this first initiative.     Profile of potential host institutions in EECA

    The “People” is a specific Programme of the EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7). The actions under the “People” Programme focus on mobility of researchers towards development of their scientific experience and career. The Programme is open to all domains of scientific and technological research and contains schemes for international mobility with Third Countries which are neither EU Member States (MS) nor Associated to FP7 Countries (AC). To promote a submission of joint proposals of EECA research organisations and European researchers the filled in QUESTIONNAIRES will be posted here.

    IncoNet EECA-meeting for Coordinators of projects targeting Eastern European and Central Asian countries

    On June 18th 2008 the International Bureau of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research c/o German Aerospace Center (DLR) organized a “Meeting of coordinators of projects targeting Eastern European and Central Asian countries”. Project coordinators from from Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Romania, Russia, Sweden and Turkey accepted the invitation of DLR in order to exchange experiences about research cooperation with Eastern European and Central Asian countries.

    Kick-off meeting of the project “S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian countries” (IncoNet EECA)

    The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), in pursuance of its wider goal to enhance the policy dialogue and cooperation between Eastern European and Central Asian (EECA) countries and the EU Member States in the field of science and technology, organised the kick-off meeting of the project entitled “S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Countries” (IncoNet EECA). The project is funded under the 7th Framework Programme for Research of the European Community (FP7) and is coordinated by the ICBSS. The kick-off meeting took place in Athens on 16-18 January 2008.
