Information Day on development of the international S&T cooperation with the EU in the EU 7th Framework Programme thematic area “Environment” and the “People” programme.

On 19 of June 2009 the Georgia National Science Foundation is organizing in Tbilisi an Information Day with the purpose to develop the international S&T cooperation within the EU 7th Framework Programme (FP7) in the thematic priority Environment as wells in FP7 People programme.

The event will be held with the participation of representatives of EC Delegation to Georgia and the EU key speakers from Poland and Estonia involved in international cooperation within FP7.

The event is supported by the EC within the FP7 project "S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Counties", IncoNet EECA, http://www.inco-eeca.net

The topics of the event are:

  • Informing the participants about the topics of the FP7 calls for projects of 2009 in thematic priorities "Environment"
  • Informing the participants about the mobility opportunities offered within FP7 People programme
  • Informing the participants about the procedures for participation in 2009 FP7 calls as well as about the tools and services which can helpful for joining consortia in the topics of their interest (partner search systems, financial instruments, etc.);
  • Sharing experience and best practice among Georgian R&D organization and research teams on different stages of FP7 project preparation and negotiation in thematic area “Environment” and the “People” programme.

The venue of one day event is Tbilisi State Medical University (19 June 2009, 10:00 – 18.00, the registration starting at 9:30).
