    New FP7 calls published!

    On 20th July the European Commission published a list of new calls within four of the five 2011 work programmes. The web portal incrEAST offers a pre-selection of all currently open calls targeted at EECA countries.

    S&T International Cooperation Network for Central Asian and South Caucasus Countries: IncoNet CA/SC successfully launched

    IncoNet CA/SC, an EU project with Central Asian and South Caucasus Countries was officially launched during a kick-off meeting in Istanbul/ Turkey on 29th-30th April 2010. The project is coordinated by the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS, Greece) and funded under the 7th Research Framework Programme of the European Community. 28 partner organisations from 14 countries take part in the project. It is being implemented in close coordination with the ongoing IncoNet EECA.

    ICT Help-Desk services for FP7 participants from EECA countries launched

    The FP7 EXTEND project launched Help-Desk services on the official website of the project. The Help-Desk services provide guidance and support in relation to the procedures of participation in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) theme of the EC 7th Framework Programme (FP7) to ICT research actors from all Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) countries.

    The Competence Platform is an online service offered through the EU – EECA Gateway on ICT research and development portal. You can use it to promote your ICT competences and to find information about potential partners - ICT experts and organizations of the EECA region and Europe.

    Marie Curie Action: "International Incoming Fellowships", People Newsletter (No.12 in 2009)

    March 17th 2010 the European Commission will launch a call for proposals under the FP7 Marie Curie Actions IIF Scheme – International Incoming Fellowships. The call will close on August 17th 2010. The International Incoming Fellowships (IIF) action is open to experienced researchers from third countries. It provides financial support to individual research projects presented by the incoming experienced researchers in liaison with a legal entity ('host organisation') in a Member State/an Associated country, as well as possibly a 'return host organisation' if the researcher's country or origin is an International Cooperation Partner Country.

    Marie Curie Action: "International Outgoing Fellowships", People Newsletter (No.11 in 2009)

    March 17th 2010 the European Commission will launch a call for proposals under the FP7 Marie Curie Actions IOF Scheme – International Outgoing Fellowships. The call will be closed on August 17th 2010. The International Outgoing Fellowships for Career Development (IOF) action provides financial support for advanced training and trans-national mobility, for a period of up to 3 years, for individual projects presented by experienced researchers from Member States or Associated countries in liaison with a host organisation from another Member State or Associated country.

    Marie Curie Action: "International Research Staff Exchange Scheme", People Newsletter (No.10 in 2009)

    On 25th November 2009 the European Commission launches a call for proposals under the FP7 Marie Curie Action: "International Research Staff Exchange Scheme" (IRSES). The Marie Curie International Staff Exchange Scheme is a type of action that aims to strengthen research partnerships through staff exchanges and networking activities between European research organisations and organisations from countries with which the Community has an S&T agreement or are in the process of negotiating one, and countries covered by the European Neighbourhood policy.
